i woke to sad news this morning.

Lee McQueen has passed.

Founder of Alexander McQueen, he was a pure fashion genius.

At age 40, media says he took his own life as he can't cope any longer after the death earlier this month of his mother.

RIP.

you will be greatly remembered by the fashion community world wide... forever.

jealousy is a curse and a disease. i sure hope they get better soon.

meanwhile, i am having an amazing life. with the best friends possible, a future which is better than what i would have dreamt a year ago, my family supporting me in every study/business venture/travel idea/accidental fuck up i do.

my mum has become my best friend. considering you could never get us in the same room in high school, we have come along way. i finally understand just what she was dealing with her whole life supporting me as a single parent and she finally understands me with what i've been through over the years. we laugh now like there were never problems yesterday.

i love her so much, i'm so excited to move to port macquarie. she will be only a short drive away, down at north haven, so she will come visit often (and help out with my laundry too i hope).

my mum has done some crazy things for me.

when i was 13 i got my belly button pierced - she came with me and got hers done too.

she is ok about my tattoos and piercings.

she moved from north queensland to tasmania to be with me and left her husband in the process. they are back together now thank god!

she always lends a hand when i need it, though i try not to ask for it.

she was always there to encourage me to dance and do what i want in this world.

we are the complete opposites in every way.

6 weeks til we become neighbors.
