brown paper & lyrics.

LA Candy
a novel by my fave - Lauren Conrad
I definately recommend buying this book... never thought I would recommend a book by someone like her aka Nicole Richie - but this one is pretty decent.

US punk-rock group
Cobra Starship.
they've collaborated with Leighton Meester (Gossip Girls) on the song Good Girls Go Bad.
Alex, Gabe, Nate, Victoria and Ryland.

check out their song below.

dirtbag

photo: weheartit

i don't know how old or new these 3 remixes are. but fuck, i love them. i've heard so much great music lately, i get the names of the tracks and then almost forget them instantly. memory of a goldfish i think.
the first 2 are 90's/early 00's songs been remixed. they remind me of my primary school days, especially the Spice Girls track - but now they're dirtier. just how i like it. my music that is.

let me know what you kids think.

introducing : abbey leeeeeee

miss abbey lee kershaw.
i would pay sooo much money to use her in a photoshoot, she is so beautiful. i'm insanely jealous. she was featured in Vogue Australia's 50th birthday issue in possibly one of the most amazing spreads i've seen.

introducing : dree

dree hemingway.
simply gorgeous. outside the Karl Lagerfeld show at Paris fashion week.
she's the great-granddaughter of Ernest Hemingway & signed with both Elite and Ford models. didn't recognise her in these photos as she is normally not this blonde - but i love it! she is a stunner.

i will come back to you.

I stumbled across this song and have found it quite devine! been playing it a lot recently.
it's another remix from Classixx. can they do any wrong??
really chilled out disco track, very different to the constant bangers that are always on my playlist.

summer is here. not literally.

today is the day of sydney Parklife.
i am not attending, i mean if you have seen the weather in sydney, it's disgusting. more like MUDLIFE. ewww, gumboots and wet hair. no thank you.

but with every parklife, means the beginning of summer festival season. harbourlife, stereosonic, field day, good vibes, future music, BDO, soundwave, homebake, nevereverland, global gathering... they just keep going on & on.

in the past few months, there has been one particular song on repeat. and I mean repeat.

this is my song for the summer. seriously, it's my favourite by far. a dancefloor anthem for a while to come yet, everytime I hear it I run towards the dancefloor.

hope it makes you boogie just as much as i do.

rick owens spring 2010

rick owens.
at the Ecole Des Beaux Arts, there was some unhappy 'standing patrons' as Rick Owens had a seating problem. one editor decided "standing is the new front row".
to a score of crashing waves, the stream of sculptured shoulder pieces, long skirts and slicked back hair - literally, glue sticks were used to keep it in place.
most striking feature was the range of coloured models Owens casted; his shows have been entirely whitewashed since spring 2005 season - when he also cast four black models.
